You Matter!

"You matter. As Daughters of God, we are each unique and different in our circumstances and experiences. And yet our part matters---Because we matter." -Elaine S. Dalton

Never forget who you are, where you came from, and where you're going. You're beautiful Daughters of God with a purpose, needed as a piece to fit Heavenly Father's puzzle. You're all special in your own way and we all have an important part in our Heavenly Father's plan. No one can take your place or fill your part as well as you can. Only you can fulfill your role in this life because you matter.

Family Matters

I have learned that "Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what!" And don't get me wrong... "No family is perfect. We argue, we fight. We even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end... Family is family. The love will always be there." We must respect them. Support them. And love them. "Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you." Because you might not always agree what family does. You may not understand or have different ways of thinking, but we must love them for them. We must forgive. We need to be an example and do as Christ would. We can either let things get to us or make the best of what comes our way. Remember that family is really important. Be an example. Be patient. Love them and help guide them. Because "it's not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters."

My Mother

I came across this photo today, which was taken back when my parents got sealed in the temple. And.... A flow of love came over me for my mom. I know we disagree on things and can but heads, but I love her for who she is and I know she loves me for who I am. I can be rude, give attitude, and not have a full knowledge of why I have to have a curfew or the reason behind her decisions... But I love her. For her.  Being a mom can be an is super hard at times and I give so much credit to her for all the things she has done for me. Her testimony, kindness, love, support, and strength is what keeps me going. She is a great example to me and I couldn't ask for a better mother. I don't know where I'd be without you. I love you mom!

"Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a Calling.... It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for." -Neil L. Andersen

The Answer

"I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand." That's the answer I got to my prayer. I am so grateful for my Savior who is always there to help, guide, and comfort me. And for my Heavenly Father for answering my prayers and always having my back. Never forget that they are there for you too and that they love you. You are never alone and they know what you're going through. "Be strong and of a good courage."

Your Steering Wheel

I saw this quote and it really hit home. The past few days have been really hard for me and I lost sight of prayer. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father gave us this gift, to be able to communicate to Him always. It's nice to know I'm being comforted and watched over by my Savior by using prayer and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Never forget that they are always there for you and that their love is unconditional. What ever you may be going through, our Father in Heaven hears you and is there to help you in every way possible. "Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?"

True Love Blooms

"True love blooms when we care more about another person than we care about ourselves.”—Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

I know that when we love and care for others, we won't only be blessed, but the people around us will feel loved and cared for. The happiness they will feel, will fill our hearts with joy and love.

A Comforting Assurance

"Even in our most diligent efforts to live the gospel, all of us will make mistakes, and all of us will sin. What a comforting assurance it is to know that through our Savior's redeeming sacrifice, we can be forgiven and made clean again."  -Ann M. Dibb
